When I met Faith, Brett and the pups they told me that they would most likely elope in Vegas. I told them if they didn’t bring me I would fly and crash their elopement anyways.
Since then Covid happened but on the bright side they got engaged! They love the outdoors, weird things and their dogs, so getting married on Halloween while camping at Clearlake sounded like the perfect mix.
Little did we all know how hard it would snow on their elopement day but man oh man did it ever, that 4 hour drive was sure interesting haha.
When I arrived they were pouring wine and hanging with the pups in their matching sweats. We started their day off with getting them ready, they helped each other and then toasted to getting married. We got in the car and headed to the beach, yes I said beach and yes your right it was winter.
It was stunning, the snowflakes were huge and the lake wasn’t frozen yet so you could still hear the water. Faith was FROZEN but such a trooper dancing her way down “the aisle” to her husband to be. The ceremony was short (thank gosh for Faith) and sweet and we were all so pumped.
We ran up to the cars to warm up and then headed back down for a few photos before heading back to the yurt. Once we got there we explored a little, faith did a HUGE jump and tap but then completely wiped out so hard. Admittedly after realizing she was okay, we all were laughing SO HARD, we danced it off and then headed back for some macaroons and wine!
This day was so cold, so fun and so special.
